That's my first antler find! And a five-point model at that. Delia walked right by it on our midday walk in the woods. Of course, after I picked it up she tried to act like it was hers and I should let her have it. Ain't gunna happen, li'l puppers.
I also had a birthday recently and a certain someone here at Weasels' Rest gave me this cool sign as a gift
It is installed such that it seems like Bigfoot is walking down our driveway, across the road, and into the "lower pasture." Which he probably is given how he follows me all over the world. HINT: When installing your Bigfoot crossing sign, do so wearing black pants and in such a place as the sunbeam will land on your rear. One of life's simple, little pleasures, that.
That sign rocks and let's him know he is always welcome as that sunbeam on your bum was!
ReplyDeleteYes! And he and/or she will know that I care about he and/or she being able to cross the road safely.
DeleteHappy belated natal day! BTW, if your dogs are "chewers", and you find any more antlers (less-nice ones), let 'em have one- we bought one for our beastie, and it's been the best investment in pet stuff evarrr. Long-lasting doesn't even begin to describe it!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Our dogs love antlers and Santa brought them each a nice big elk antler. ;) They last, they're pretty clean and not stinky. We love them about as much as the dogs do! They have found some smaller ones themselves, but too small and pointy for them to chew on safely. :( One of them especially loves to chew and has even done some damage to a Kong. We got her a Zogoflex toy for Christmas and that thing is TOUGH and she loves it. AND they're made in Bozeman with recycled materials and they'll recycle your old ones AND they have a one-time money-back or replacement policy if your dog can chew through it.

Ooooooooo! Thank you thank you thank you! Poor D's always so confused when we have to take the remains of a toy away...even Kongs fall to bits in his mighty jaws. The elk section we bought him has lasted the longest of anything- he'll LOVE getting something new! :)
DeleteI hope it works! Another fun feature of that particular toy is that when you toss it it bounces erratically! So hard to predict! So much fun!
DeleteThat antler is cool! What'cha going to do with it?
ReplyDeleteNot sure just yet. Right now it's on the pianer.
